Marianne Gelter, DO

Dr. Gelter was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and Tulane University.

She attended medical school at Midwestern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. In addition to her primary responsibilities as a student, she also served as the President of the Class Council as well as the Director of the Pre-Student Osteopathic Medical Association.

She went on to complete her anesthesiology residency training at Ochsner Medical Center followed by a fellowship in chronic pain medicine at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Gelter takes pride in not only providing the best service possible, but also caring for her patients long-term to ensure they have optimal results after their treatments and are able to get back to doing what they enjoy.

“What motivates me is helping people improve their pain so they can live a fuller life. Seeing my patients get back to the activities that make them happy because they are no longer in pain makes all the work and effort worth it.”

Outside of her professional career, Dr. Gelter enjoys spending time with her family and is the proud mom to a rambunctious toddler.
